ARTICLE 13 IS UPON US! What do you think about this?

There are a huge amount of news articles and user comments to be found all over the Internet about this Article 13 debacle happening in Europe. I will post some links to good reads for those who are not familiar with this new law? ..BUT in a very brief and lacking attempt at describing it, I will just say Article 13 will force Web Page owners/operators to accept responsibility for the things being put on their web sites. Places like YouTube.com, for instance, will have to be much more strict about users posting copyrighted material without licensing or permission. I have heard rumors about something that was referred to as an "Upload Filter" as a means for controlling what users can post. I admit I know very little about how that will be handled. This new law will also make it much easier for copyright owners to get their media or data that was posted illegally removed from Websites. What does everyone else think and feel about Article 13's passing. Is this the End Of The World as all the protesters seem to think it is, or is it just a complication that will force users to create original content or get permission to post other people's content?
